Everyone is You Pushed Out – Full and Simply
This is my third article on the subject of everyone is you pushed out in this blog, so, once you’re done with this one, if you are still confused about this topic, you may want to check my article EIYPO What Does it Mean? And EIYPO is Part of the Law.
Interestingly, the EIYPO topic is probably the Neville’s teaching topic that triggers people the most. I remember a couple of weeks after I had published my first article on EIYPO, I received an angry email from someone threatening me to try to make me remove my article. Imagine that! Frankly, it made me laugh, but at the same time, you’ve got to wonder why the subject of everyone is you pushed out is so troubling for some.
So, yes, no doubt that some people get triggered by the thought that people who appear to be outside of them are just a reflection of themselves.
Something else that we observe in the manifesting community it’s that EIYPO is probably the most misunderstood teaching from Neville, so that term is misunderstood and misinterpreted a lot. We’ve noticed that recently, yet again, in my FB group, which motivated me to dedicate this whole week to the topic of everyone is you pushed out on my Instagram, my podcast, and video, besides this article here, in an effort to make it more clear to you, if you are still confused about it. I have not repeated myself in all those platforms but rather expanded on the topic throughout them.
EIYPO is Not About Manipulating Others
The moment you think of influence, you reduce a miracle to magic. All the people in the world are only yourself pushed out. – Neville Goddard , What Are You Doing – Lecture (1967)
A common confusion about EIYPO is that it can be a tool to influence people, as in “manipulating” them as if other people were puppets and you’re the only person with a mind. As you can see from Neville’s own words above, he never taught such a thing. The fact that people are us pushed out doesn’t mean that it’s a tool to manipulate people as we understand ‘manipulating’ from our rational mind and the tag that people have attached to this word. The truth is that we “manipulate” people ALL the time, whether or not we are aware of it, based on what we believe about ourselves and other people, but it’s not a magic stick.
What’s happening with people in the law of assumption community it’s that they are still new, and they are trying to conceptualize and rationalize some concepts of the law that cannot be conceptualized or rationalized from the ego mind and be fully understood, but this is what is happening with EIYPO and it’s why there’s so much confusion, misunderstanding, and misinterpretation on the subject.
So, what is EIYPO exactly?
We are All One
If you are familiar with spiritual law, you might have heard the phrase, we are all one, but what does it mean exactly? Is it a phrase that you’ve heard or read here and there, but without truly understanding the full meaning of it? If so, you might want to pause for a minute and truly understand what this means.
We are all one means that we are ONE Consciousness, one Awareness, and that consciousness or awareness is one and the same shared by all human beings. That’s why it’s important to notice that Neville said that people in the world are yourSELF pushed out. Not just you, but the SELF. That SELF is Consciousness, it’s Awareness, it’s God. The God that is in you is in me and in each single human being that has ever existed and will ever exist. While there seem to be a separation in bodies, there is NO separation in the source God. Zero. None. Nada. This is the part where the rational mind struggles a little.
It’s because there is only one consciousness, one God that animates everyBODY, that everyONE is yourSELF pushed out.
People are not you pushed out because you want to from your rational mind but by default, whether you want it or not. As long as you are in this human body, other people in your world will be mirroring your beliefs and assumptions about yourself and about the world in general.
So, when people get offended when they hear the term, everyone is pushed out, it’s because they are confused about the very source of this teaching. They see themselves as separated from others, but most importantly, they see themselves as separated from consciousness/from God. They are falling for this illusion because they do not understand that there is no separation from that source God and, thus, no separation from others. If you wanted to use this teaching to manipulate others, it would only result in manipulating yourself. So, no matter how you want to look at it, NOTHING is separated from you, and all will always come back to you.
The World is a Dream
The whole vast world is no more than man’s imagining pushed out. I must qualify that by saying that the world outside of man is dead. But man is a living soul and it responds to man. Yet man is sound asleep and does not know it. The Lord God placed man in a profound sleep and as he sleeps, the world responds as in a dream for man does not know he is asleep, and then he moves from a state of sleep where he is only a living soul to an awakened state where he is a life-giving spirit. And now he can himself create, for everything is responding to an activity in Man which is imagination. The eternal body of man is all imagination that is God himself. – Blake – Neville Goddard, Life is a Dream – Lecture (1959)
“The whole vast world is yourself pushed out,” “All the people in the world are yourself pushed out,” The whole vast world is no more than man’s imagination pushed out.” All of these quotes are saying the same thing. The world that we live in, which you may believe is separated from you, is actually not. We ARE the world, and the world is us. The world, the whole universe, is contained in you, not the other way around.
No wonder people are still debating which one came first, the chicken or the egg. Neither one came first, because consciousness is the only reality, we are both conscious of the chicken and the egg, they are equally present and they simply both ARE now in the present moment, because linear time is yet another illusion we’ve fallen into. “Man experiences a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. Past, present, and future are illusions. Don’t be deluded by the appearance of things.” Albert Einstein.
Life can be compared to a sleeping dream. When you wake up from a dream, whether it was a good dream or a bad dream, YOU were the creator of that dream; that dream came from your consciousness. When you are able to control your dream while dreaming it’s called lucid dreaming, you become aware that you are dreaming while dreaming, and that allows you to take full control of the dream. It’s the exact same thing with the grander dream called life. When you are experiencing all kinds of unwanted things in your life, you ARE the creator of those unwanted things, they are coming from YOUR consciousness. When you awaken spiritually, you notice that you can now control your life much better.
As you start to become aware, though, as the lucid dreamer becomes aware that he’s dreaming (wakes up in his dream), you become aware that life is just a big dream (you become awake spiritually), and by changing the way you see the world and how you see yourself in the world, you can change and transform your life. By changing yourself, you are changing the world and everyone in it, which is just yourself pushed out.
Everyone is responding to what we are doing in our imagination. There is no outside world that is really alive. It depends for its aliveness on the activity of man who is a living soul. Man named the animals, the birds, the trees. Everything God became man as a living soul but he had to forget he was God to become man, and now man has to become a life-giving spirit where he knows that everything is an imaginal activity. Neville Goddard – Life is a Dream, Lecture (1959)
We were born with total amnesia, as Neville said, so we could start playing the game of life, being fully in the dream, and believing the dream. But our main purpose is to discover who we really are. Once we are awake, the law is a given, so our next goal is the promise. That’s why Neville, as a student of Abdullah, was this young man trying to figure out how he could make himself believe that he was already in Barbados while still in New York City, to a man that only cared about the promise towards the end of his life on this plan.
While we may not be at the promise level, yet, we can grow and come to more and more understanding of the law as we go. Everyone is pushed out is one of those things that we should strive to understand more fully.
