Your God-Self is Greater than Your Subconscious Programming
I was inspired to write this blog article following module #1o of my Understand the Law of Assumption 101 workshop (soon to be available in the form of a course), where I discussed the fact that your assumptions surpass your subconscious mind programming. The module, which, by the way, members of the group loved. Understanding this is so important to make concrete progress in the law that I thought it would be worth it to write about this topic for everyone here besides the members of my VIP FB Group.
I have to say that, nowadays, when I hear coaches talking about the fact that it takes 21 days to reprogram the subconscious mind, it makes me laugh. Who came up with that number, anyway? Really! 21 days, not 20 or 22? Today, I can’t even believe that I fell for that in the past. Additionally, you have those teachers that are beating down the fact that you have to reprogram your subconscious mind to get to where you want to be. No wonder so many people seem to be stuck.
Today I know that none of that is true. And you can toss those ideas out RIGHT NOW, if you know and practice the law of assumption in your life.
In this article, we are going to see why such beliefs are just beliefs that are limiting you and how you can get rid of them for good, so you can manifest your desires much easier and faster.
A Belief Becomes an Assumption
A belief is or will become an assumption. The more I dug and explored the law of assumption, the more I realized that a lot of teachers and coaches are creating assumptions that people adopted for themselves when they really don’t have to. Personally, back in the days when I started coaching people, I was teaching things that I no longer subscribe to at all. Even during the course of the past couple of years, my understanding and my teaching have evolved as I am digging and exploring the law more and more.
When you accept the belief that you need to reprogram your subconscious mind to become who you want to be and have what you desire to have, you are not taking into consideration that your I AM is God, and I AM is what chooses to occupy a state and fulfill the experience of that state. When you understand this, your current subconscious programming loses whatever power you have given it.
When, on the other hand, you choose to give some importance to your so-called subconscious programming, and you decide to believe that there are some beliefs in there that are controlling you and preventing you from reaching your goals (manifesting your desires), it becomes an assumption and, therefore, that assumption is going to prevent you from going any further until those beliefs have been removed. Do you see the danger in creating such assumptions?
However, the good news is that you don’t have to reprogram your subconscious mind. You don’t have to carry the weight of handicapping assumptions such as this, which would prevent you from manifesting your desires, because you can get rid of them instantly. As God of your own reality, why would you want to create any limiting beliefs and assumptions, knowing that those beliefs and assumptions will manifest in your physical experience?
Your I AM is Bigger than your Subconscious Mind Programming
Eventually, I went from teaching people “to reprogram their subconscious mind” to realizing that I don’t need to do this if I understand that I am simply going through states. When I am in an undesirable state, I don’t have to identify with it because I am just passing by, I AM not the state, I just occupy it.
My subconscious mind programming doesn’t have dominion over me, I AM bigger than my subconscious mind programming and I can decide that I no longer buy the fact that such subconscious programming is making decisions for me.
The reason I fell in love with Neville’s teaching pretty much instantly was mainly because I had been struggling with the law of attraction teachings for almost 15 years, “trying to reprogram” my subconscious mind. When this man was telling me that all I had to do is step into a state that was already ready for me, and I didn’t have to create anything from scratch because creation is finished.
Your State Cancels Out Your Subconscious Programming
The being that you really are, descended to the weakness of the flesh, causing you to experience the state you are now in. Contemplate another state, and the same being who brought your present form into being will restore and make alive the other state, the state desired. This he will continue to do until his purpose is fulfilled. That purpose is to follow a certain pattern back into the unity of being. You see, in the beginning we were drafted. We did not volunteere to fall into these states. We were made subject into the futility, not willingly but by the will of him who sent us. But when we return we will discover that we are the very being who subject us. We are now the sons, destined to return as God the Father! – Neville Goddard, Infinite States, lecture March 22, 1968
The requirement to manifest your desire is that you shift into that state where you have it or be it. There is no such requirement as “reprogramming your subconscious mind.” You may be reading these lines right now thinking, but I don’t have my desire right now! Well it’s only because you are in a state where that desire doesn’t exist. If you just shift into the state where your desire exists, it will manifest. There is no other requirement than this.
You ARE God, you can never be separated from it, no matter what subconscious beliefs you think you have or have to remove. You are God having a physical experience. But your God-self allows you to choose what dead state you want to give life to. Once you decide to give life to a state, any state, no subconscious beliefs can stop you, unless you want to assume that it can. In such a case, as Neville said, an assumption, though false, if persisted in, will harden into fact.
The belief that you have some unwanted subconscious beliefs that you have to remove is a state of its own. You are dwelling in the state where you believe that you have to reprogram your subconscious mind. But why would you? Why would you embody that state when you can simply step into the state of knowing that, as God, Your IAMness enables you to enter any state. The state where no such problem even exists.
I know that a lot of teachings out there imply that there is a problem that needs to be solved, and only when that problem is solved will you be able able to manifest your desires. But this type of teaching is both misleading and false.
If I take my example, from being completely broke in a very bad relationship to becoming a successful coach in a thriving relationship, I didn’t “fix” anything, I just made the decision to no longer identify with my old self and embody a new identity. I simply created a new concept of myself, and I persisted in the feeling of being who I wanted to be.
You Can Embody Your Desired State NOW!
Every state is an attitude, a state of experience with a body of beliefs that an individual son of the Most High occupies… There are unnumbered states and the occupant of one state is not better than the occupant of another, for each is a brother in the highest unity and all are one in the body of God the Father. But the state, the attitude of mind to which you most constantly return, constitutes your dwelling place. – Neville Goddard, Infinite States
You can embody a state and dwell in that state regardless of you subconscious beliefs. But you don’t even need to embody that state 24/7, you don’t need to have all the answers, and you don’t need to be perfect.
Many people are asking me how I managed to be so sure that my SP was mine. Well, the answer is that I didn’t get in own way. I stepped into the state of being in a relationship with that man, and after that I just moved on with my life. I went through neutral states and doubtful states here and there, but I let them come and go, I didn’t panic, I didn’t ask anyone how do I get out that state and so on. No matter what, I kept going back to the state of being in a relationship with with my SP, and thus it materialized pretty quickly.
If I had kept on noticing and focusing on those little states that came and went, I would have probably delayed my manifestation, but because I didn’t dwell on them and just let them slide in and out, they had no negative effect on me and my results.
So, as you are manifesting your desires, let go of the pressure to get rid of your limiting subconscious beliefs. Simply assume that they have no bearing on your manifestation. Instead, focus on the state where your desire already exists. You will have moments of doubts and contradicting thoughts, but they too have no power, unless you give them such power. Let them slide and they will go away. As long as you focus on getting back in your state every time you feel that you have left it (this is called persistence- another module of my workshop), you will manifest your desires.
